This website allows the users to access information relative to the
legislation and activity of the European Union and its member States
with regards to family law, the case-law of European Courts and
Supreme Courts of the EU member States, to the contributions
elaborated by lawyers, judges, university teachers and experts on
the subject, who collaborate to the site and/or to Family Law in
Europe Association.
The owner and those who elaborate the contents of the website do not
assume any liability with regards to the information included
therein, which:
• is of exclusively general character and it cannot be always
complete, precise or updated;
• it is related sometimes to other sites, over which no control can
be boasted and for which no liability is taken;
• it expresses possible opinions of professional or legal type
exclusively of the authors that elaborated it, without in any case
representing any obligation for the latter;
• it could have been introduced or structured in archives or formats
with errors.
It is specified that it is not possible to guarantee that a document
available online reproduces exactly an officially adopted text and
therefore, only the texts issued by the legal system of the European
Union are valid, published in the paper editions of the "Official
Journal of the European Union".
The texts of the judgments adopted by European Courts linked and/or
published on the website are not official. The final version is
published in the “Reports of Cases before the Court of Justice and
the Court of First Instance”” or in the “Official Journal of the
European Union", which is the only one authentic, that prevails on
the electronic version in case of discordance.

State and Italian and foreign public administrations, are not

Protection of personal data
Informative on privacy according to Italian laws (art. 13 of L.D.
no. 196 dated 30 June 2003 "Code on personal data protection") and
the European Union (Directive 95/46/CE of the European Parliament
and Council, of 24 October 1995, relative to the protection of
physical people with regards to the treatment of personal data, and
to the free circulation of said data; Directive 2002/58/CE of the
European Parliament and Council, of 12 July 2002, relative to the
treatment of personal data and protection of private life in the
sector of electronic communications; Directive 2006/24/CE of the
European Parliament and Council, of 15 March 2006, concerning the
conservation of data generated or treated within the supply of
electronic communication services, accessed by the public, or within
public communication networks, which modifies Directive 2002/58/CE).
In compliance with current Italian and European laws, utmost safety
and privacy is ensured during the manual and electronic treatment of
the personal data of the website’s users.
The information requested during registration will be used to allow
access to the online services of FAMILYLAWINEUROPE.EU, and to
maintain and manage the user’s profile.
The personal data will be treated with computer/telecom tools and
for purposes which are related and/or instrumental to the email
service and possible other online services or for browsing the
website, as set forth by current Italian laws, in particular:
• to be able to supply the service;
• to be able to fulfil the legal obligations foreseen.
The conferring of data is optional, but if the compulsory data is
omitted, the modules cannot be sent, for example for registering to
possible formative events or to access the database or other
services that require said data.
The treatments related to the online services of this website take
place at ARUBA.IT and NWEB.IT servers and are managed only by
technical staff in charge of the treatment, or by possible
maintenance operators. The computer systems and software procedures
used for the operation of this website acquire some personal data
during their regular operation, which transmission is implicit when
using Internet communication protocols. This information is not
gathered to be associated to identified subjects, but due to its
nature, it could allow to identify the users, through elaborations
and associations with data held by third parties. This data category
includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by the
users that connect to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier)
addresses of the resources requested, the request time, the method
used to send the request to the server, the size of the file
obtained in reply, the numeric code indicating the state of the
reply given by the server (successful, error, etc) and other
parameters relative to the operative system and IT environment of
the user. This data is used only for the purpose to obtain anonymous
statistic information on the use of the website and to check the
proper functioning and it is conserved for periods of time defined
by the reference law.
The data can be used to verify the liability in case of potential
computer crimes or violation of copyrights which cause damages to
the website.
No cookies are used to transmit the information of personal
character, neither the so called permanent cookies of any type,
which are systems to trace users. The use of the so called session
cookies (which are not stored permanently on the computer but are
deleted once the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the
transmission of the session details (constituted by random numbers
generated by the server) needed to allow the safe and efficient
browsing of the website. The so called session cookies used in this
website avoid to use other computer techniques which may prejudice
the privacy of the users browsing and do not allow the acquire the
user’s personal data.
The subjects to which the personal data refers have the right at any
time to obtain the confirmation of the existence of the same data
and know the content and origin, verify accuracy and ask for the
integration or update, or rectification (art. 7 of L.D no. 196 dated
30 June 2003).
Pursuant to the same article, the user has the right to ask
deletion, transformation in anonymous format or blocking of the data
treated in violation with laws, and also to oppose to its treatment
in any case, for licit reasons.
